DAY 1 – NEW YORK: Depart JFK for overnight flight to Athens.

DAY 2 – ATHENS::  Arrival in Athens. You are met and transfer to your hotel.

DAY 3 – ATHENS: Morning city sightseeing tour of Athens. Visit the Acropolis, the birthplace of Greek Civilization

Visit the Parthenon and its museum, and other buildings on the Acropolis. Balance of the day at leisure. (B)

The afternoon is free. You might tour the Greek Museum. It is one of the finest in the world. Wander through
the galleries and marvel at these magnificent artifacts. Return to the hotel. B&B.

DAY 4 – ATHENS / MYCANAE / OLYMPIA: Today, begin your Classical Tour of Greece. History unfolds as

you drive through the Corinth Canal and visit Mycenae, Nafplion and Epidaurus. Continue on through the

Peloponnese to Olympia for overnight.  (B,D)

DAY 5 – OLYMPIA / DELPHI: Today we tour Olympia, site of the Greek games. Later we drive past the beautiful town of Patra on the way to Rio. Cross the Rio-Antirion bridge and continue on to Delphi for overnight. (B,D)

DAY 6 – DELPHI: Spend your day enjoying the ancient site of Delphi where you will visit the Temple of

Apollo, the Castilla Springs and much more. Overnight in Delphi. (B,D)

DAY 7 – DELPHI / METEORA / KALAMBAKA: Morning visit of the museum of Delphi. Depart for

Kalambaka and enjoy an afternoon visit of breathtaking monasteries of Meteora. Dinner and overnight in

Kalambaka. (B,D)

DAY 8 – KALAMBAKA / THESSALONIKI: Drive to the Macedonian town of Dion for a visit. Continue

on to Thessaloniki, the largest town in Northern Greece. Visit the museum and tour this ancient city. (B,D)

DAY 9 – THESSALONIKI: Morning drive to Pella, Alexander the Great's capital, to tour the Palace of the

Macedonian Kings. Continue on to Vergina to visit the tomb of King Philip, father of Alexander, and the famous "Vergina Treasures." On to Lefkadia, where you visit the excavations. We return to Thessaloniki for dinner and overnight. (B,D)

DAY 10 – THESSALONIKI / ATHENS: Begin your return drive to Athens through the Tempi Valley, Larissa

and Thermopylae, site of the famed battle between the Spartans and Persians in 480 BC.  Evening arrival into Athens for overnight. (B)

DAY 11 – ATHENS: Today, enjoy your day at leisure. Take an optional one-day three-island cruise. Visit

one of the famous shopping streets in Athens. You can find almost anything. (B)

DAY 12 – ATHENS / NEW YORK: After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your return flight home. (B)
