| DAY 1 Arrive in Athens and after passing through customs we transfer to the hotel. The evening is free. | |
| DAY 2 Today we tour Athens beginning with the Acropolis precinct. First we tour the Propylaia, or gateway constructed as a facade in temple form. The outstanding architectural structure on the the Acropolis is the Parthenon, it is breathtaking. Next we visit the Erechtheion, famous for the porch of the Karyatides, named after the six female statues that support the roof. We visit the Temple of Athene Nike, and the Acropolis Museum. We take the time to slowly stroll around the Acropolis. | |

| After lunch there is an optional tour of the Athens National Museum with its fantastic collection of artifacts. Stroll through gallery after gallery. Return to the hotel. Bed and Breakfast | |

| DAY 3 After breakfast we drive to Corinth. We slowly tour the Roman Forum, Theater, Temple of Apollo, the ancient Angora (market place), the medieval castle with its sweeping view of the sea and the narrow Isthmus of Corinth. Return to Athens and the hotel. B&B | |

| DAY 4 We drive to Pella, the capital of Macedonia under Phillip II, father of Alexander the Great. On the way we stop at Thermopalaea where a decisive battle was fought between Greeks and Persians. We arrive in Pella. The evening is free. B&B | |

| DAY 5 Today we slowly tour Pella We visit the museum that contains many artifacts from the reign of Phillip II, and Alexander the Great, the royal graves and the palace of the Macedonian Kings. After our leisurely tour we return to the hotel. The evening is free to stroll through the picturesque town. B&B |

| DAY 6 We drive to and leisurely tour the Meteora Monasteries, a must see, atop their soaring pinnacles. Priceless treasures of art are on display. Today the monasteries are best known for the James Bond Movie "Never Say Never". When you are ready we check into the hotel. The evening is free. B&B | |

| DAY 7 Today we drive to and tour one of the greatest sites from ancient antiquity, Delphi. This was the home of the famed oracle. We tour the Agora (market place), the Treasury of the Athenians, the Temple of Apollo, and the Roman Theater. After our leisurely tour, stroll the sites at your leisure. When you are ready we check into the hotel. The evening is free. B&B. | |

| DAY 8 We return to Athens. This afternoon there is an optional tour of Cape Sounion and the Temple of Poseidon. The evening is free. You might go to one of the famous shopping streets in Athens for some last minute shopping. Whether it is for inexpensive souvenirs or something more expensive, you will find it here. B&B | |
