| DAY 1 Arrive in Athens and after passing through customs we transfer to our hotel. The evening is free. |
| DAY 2 Today we tour Athens beginning with the Acropolis precinct. First we tour the Propylaia, or gateway constructed as a facade in temple form. The outstanding architectural structure on the Acropolis is the Parthenon, it is breathtaking. Next we visit the Erechtheion, famous for the porch of the Karyatides, named after the six female statues that support the balcony roof, the Temple of Athene Nike, and the Acropolis Museum. We take the time to slowly stroll around the Acropolis. |

| DAY 3
Today
we begin our three day classical tour. We drive and tour Mycenae
known in history as the legendary home of King Agamemnon who led the
Greeks in the Trojan War. Next we drive to and tour Epidaurus, famed
for its magnificent ampatheater. We tour this architectural wonder with
acrostics that are equal to any modern symphony or opera house. No
matter where you stand you can hear the slightest sound on the stage. We
continue through the Peloponese and check into our hotel in Olympia The evening is
free. Enjoy the town with its many attractions. B&B
DAY 4 - After breakfast we our Olympia, home of the Olympic Games and one of the best preserved sites in Greece. Later we drive through the plains of Greece cross the Corinthian Bay and arrive in Delphi where we check into our hotel. The evening is free. Enjoy the town with its many shops and places of interest. B&B

| DAY 5 Today we drive to Delphi and after checking into our hotel. we leisurely tour Delphi. This was the home of the famed oracle We will visit the Agora (market place), the Treasury of the Athenians, the Temple of Apollo, and the Roman Theater. Stroll the sites at your leisure. DAY 6 After breakfast we transfer to the port of Piraeus to
begin our 3 day cruise of the Aegean Sea. We depart Piraeus at 1100 hours
arriving in Mykonos, Greece at 1800. You have four hours to stroll the
picturesque town. We depart at 2200 and sail to Rhodes. Day 7 We arrive in Rhodes at 0930. You have ten hours to explore Rhodes.
Harbor of Rhodes Temple of Poseidon, Rhodes It was on Rhodes that one of the seven wonders of the ancient world the Colossus of Rhodes was built. Rhodes greatest era may have been when the Knights of St. John ruled here in the 14th to 16th century. There is much to see on Rhodes. The center of town is from the Middle Ages with the castle of the Grand Master and the Castle of the Knights. In Lindos There is an acropolis that is almost the equal of the acropolis in Athens. Shops and beaches abound with most everything for sale and the local restaurants serve fabulous food. We sail at 1930 to Patmos, Greece. DAY 8 We arrive at Patmos at 0630 hours. You have three and one half hours to enjoy this island. Patmos is famous for its religious past because it is in Patmos that Saint John the Divine wrote the book of Revelation. For many years the island was a place of pilgrimage for Catholic and Orthodox. Today, this mountainous island and its small coves attract various sun lovers, wanting to drive in its crystalline waters.
We leave Patmos at 1000 hours and sail to Kusadasi, Turkey arriving at 1400 hours. We transfer to our hotel. The rest of the day and evening are free. DAY 9 Early this morning we check out and drive to Izmir, check into our hotel and tour Ephessus. Its theater, temples, and other monuments are among the most magnificent examples of ancient architecture to be found. Here the Temple of Artemis, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world was built. After our leisurely tour we visit the Church of the Virgin Mary believed to be built where she died and the magnificent basilica of St. John, with mosaics and the tomb of St. John. We return to our hotel.
DAY 10 This morning we tour the magnificent acropolis of Pergamum. Its impressive temples, library and medical facilities made Pergamum a renowned cultural and political centre. We check into our hotel in Ayvalik. DAY 11
Today we tour one of the most touching places in
Turkey, the tragic WW1 battlefield of Gallipoli, the museum and the Lone Pine
Memorial. Between April 25, and December 20, 1915, 550,000 men were wounded or
died in a poorly devised allied plan. Return to the hotel.
Next,
step back in time as we visit Troy. Immortalized in Homer’s Iliad it is the site
of the famed Trojan War between the Greeks and Troy.Supposedly fought over
Helen, Queen of Sparta, who was abducted by
.DAY 12
After a visit to the spice bazaar After
lunch, we cross the suspension bridge that divides Asia from Europe and drive to
the summit of Camilica Hill, which affords panoramic views of Istanbul, the Sea
of Marmara and the Princes' Islands. A short drive brings us to the Beylerbeyi
Palace, on the shore of the Bosporus. One of the most elegant of the late
Ottoman palaces, the white marble palace boasts six sumptuously furnished
reception halls and is famous for its magnolia filled gardens. Return to the
hotel hotel in Istanbul.
DAY 13 Today
we tour Istanbul, founded by the Romans. We visit St. Sophia, (The church of
Holy Wisdom) undoubtedly one of the greatest architectural creations in the
world. Haga Sophia was built in cc. 535 AD., by the Byzantine Emperor
Justinian. It was transformed into a mosque after the Ottomans’ conquest in
1453. Now a museum it is awesome in size, and contains beautifully preserved
Byzantine mosaics. including glittering portraits of emperors and empresses.
Next we tour the Blue Mosque. It is distinguished by six minarets and walls
covered with amazing blue Iznik tiles. It is considered by many to be the most
beautiful mosque in the world. Next we tour Topkapi Palace, now a museum; it has
spectacular displays of collections. A must is the Palace Treasury, with its
fantastic and priceless collection of jewels, including the Spoonmaker's Diamond,
the 3rd largest in the world. Later we visit the Hippodrome, the Roman race
track. Return to the
DAY 14 Today we transfer to the airport for our flight home. B.
