14 DAY TOUR OF ATHENS, AND THE ISLANDS OF MYCONOS AND SANTORINI

DAY 1 Arrive in Athens and transfer to our hotel. You are in the heart of Athens. Take a stroll
and introduce yourself to the friendly Greek culture.

DAY 2 We sail to Myconos and check into the hotel. You have five days to explore and take advantage of all this beautiful island in the Cyclades has to offer. It looks just like the postcards: white houses, flowers, and restaurants and cafes with wonderful food. the nightlife is active.

This is an island of beautiful beaches. There are water sports, scuba diving, horseback riding, hiking, sightseeing, and nightlife. There are magnificent Greek and international restaurants serving delicious food. .

Shops are everywhere, souvenirs abound. The town of Chora should be seen, with its harbor, museums, and archeological sites.

A trip to Delos Island the holiest island of ancient Greece is a must. There are many archaeological sites.

Day 7 We check out of the hotel and sail to Santorini also known as Thira. We check into our hotel. You have five days to explore all this beautiful isle has to offer. This is the magical island of Greece. Barren and rocky island its volcano has given it black and red beaches The town situated on high cliffs offer spectacular views and magical sunsets.

The main beaches are, Kamari and Perissa, A daily bus takes you to the beaches. offering water sports, scuba diving, and horseback riding. The towns on the cliffs, which are very beautiful and full of little cafes, serving traditional Greeks food to international gourmet dinners.

Shops abound, Selling most everything. There is an active nightlife.

A must see is Akrotiri the ancient town buried in the volcano eruption 3500 years ago. Archeological excavation is still in progress but you can tour the site.

DAY 12 Today we sail to Athens and check into our hotel. The rest of the day is free.

DAY 13 Today we tour Athens beginning with the Acropolis precinct. We ascend to the top and stand on the "sacred rock", as it was called by the ancient Greeks. On the Acropolis are some of the most beautiful buildings and sculptures on the plateau. The most outstanding architectural structure is the Parthenon. It also functioned as the spiritual and financial center of Athens which then became the foundation of Western civilization.

This afternoon there is an optional tour of the Athens National Museum with its fantastic collection of artifacts. Stroll through gallery after gallery. Return to the hotel. Bed and Breakfast

DAY 14 After breakfast we transfer to the airport for our flight home B.
