13 DAY TOUR OF TURKEY

DAY 1 DEPARTURE CITY: Flight to Istanbul Turkey.

DAY 2 – ISTANBUL: Welcome to Turkey. Arrive in Istanbul Airport, met by your guide and transferred to your hotel.  Overnight in Istanbul.

DAY 3 – ISTANBUL: Our journey begins in Istanbul, the only city in the world situated on two continents.
Byzantium, Constantinople, Istanbul - its three names span more than 2600 years, nearly 1600 of them as
the capital of two of the greatest empires the world has known, Byzantine and Ottoman. We visit the
Topkapi Palace including treasury section, The Blue Mosque and Hippodrome, where chariot races
 took place. Next we visit the Grand bazaar with its 3.500 shops, it is the largest bazaar in the world and
one of the oldest. Overnight in Istanbul. (B)

DAY 4 – GALLIPOLI / CANAKKALE: Following breakfast we will leave for Gallipoli Peninsula. Visit Anzac
Cove, Lone Pine Australian Memorial and Cemetery, the original tunnels and trenches at Johnston Jolly (Turkish
and Allied), The Nek Cemetery, Chunuk-Bair New Zealand Memorial and Cemetery and Kabatepe War
Museum. After Gallipoli cross the Dardanelles and Overnight in Canakkale. (B, D)

DAY 5 – TROY / PERGAMUM / KUSADASI: After breakfast drive to “Homer's Troy”, and the site of King
Priam's Treasures. Probably the most famous city of classical times - who doesn't know the story of the Trojan
Horse. After Troy, We enjoy a scenic drive through Thrace to visit the hauntingly beautiful the ancient city of
Pergamon. We see the Altar of Zeus, Temple of Dionysus and the 200,000 volume library, The Asclepieum of
Pergamon. Leaving Pergamon behind us we settle in at our hotel in Kusadasi. (B)

DAY 6 – EPHESUS: We drive to the ancient city of Ephesus and first visit the Temple of Artemis, one of the
seven wonders of the ancient world. Ephesus was undoubtedly one of the most important cultural centers of
the ancient world. Impressive structures we will see include the Library of Celsus, Temple of Hadrian, Theatre
and Odeon. We also visit the House of the Virgin Mary We stay overnight in Kusadasi. (B)

DAY 7 – PAMUKKALE: Depart for Pamukkale. Arrive in Pamukkale and visit ancient city of Hierapolis. Visit and
swim in the world famous calcium deposited pools Travertines. Overnight in one of the Thermal Hotels in
Pamukkale. (B, D)

DAY 8 – ANTALYA: After breakfast drive to Antalya to relax in this wonderful resort. Dinner and overnight. (B)

DAY 9 – ANTALYA: This morning, we drive east to see the best preserved theatre of Turkey, Aspendos Perge.
Free afternoon. Dinner in Antalya. (B)

DAY 10 – KONYA / CAPADOCIA: Drive to Konya to visit Karatay Medrese (10th C). Tiles, Museum of
Mevlana (Whirling Dervishes), Drive to Cappadocia. Arrival and overnight in Cappadocia. (B)

DAY 11 – ANKARA: Drive to Ankara through Agzikarahan Ceravanserail. Arrival in Ankara and visit Museum of
Anatolian Civilizations and The Mausoleum of Ataturk, the founder of Turkish Republic. Overnight in Ankara. (B)

DAY 12 – ANKARA / ISTANBUL: After breakfast drive to Istanbul through Bolu. Arrival and free afternoon in
Istanbul to explore this magnificent city. Farewell dinner in a local restaurant and overnight in Istanbul. (B, D)
