12 DAY AEGEAN ADVENTURE

DAY 1 FLIGHT TO ISTANBUL

DAY 2 - ISTANBUL: Arrive in Istanbul. You will be met by an Aegean Mediterranean Tours
representative and transferred to your hotel. Balance of the day at leisure. (B)

 

DAY 3 - ISTANBUL: After breakfast board the motor coach for your full day tour of Istanbul. Visits include St. Sophia Museum, Blue Mosque, Turkish and Islamic Art Museums, Hippodrome and Grande Bazaar. Lunch included. The evening is at leisure. (B, L)

DAY 4 – ISTANBUL: Transfer to the pier and board on your cruise ship, where you will spend the night. Tonight enjoy dinner and entertainment on board. (B, D)

 

DAY 5 – ISTANBUL / AT SEA: Today enjoy shipboard activities and meals or take the time to explore Istanbul before departure. You might visit the museum (B,L,D)

 

DAY 6 – MYKONOS: (Arrive in Mykonos, where you can enjoy a fun filled afternoon and evening. Enjoy the sites. The town of Chora should be seen, with its harbor, museums, and archeological sites. A trip to Delos Island the holiest island of ancient Greece is a must. There are many archaeological sites. Walk the cobblestone streets, visit the many shops, enjoy a drink while taking in the view of the ocean or enjoy dinner at a local tavern. (B, L ,D)

DAY 7 - PATMOS / KUSADASI: Arrive in Patmos and take an optional excursion to the Monastery and Cave where John the Divine wrote the Book of Revelation. Sail on to Kusadasi where you may take an optional excursion to the ancient city of Ephesus. (B, L, D)

 

DAY 8 – RHODES: Arrive in Rhodes where you will spend a full day. Take an optional excursion of the city of Rhodes, The Acropolis of Lindos to visit the Temple of Athena and the Temple of Posidion (B,L,D)
                     

DAY 9 – HERAKLION / SANTORINI: Arrival in Heraklion, the capital of Crete. Take an optional excursion to the Palace of King Minos at Knossos and the museum. Sail on to Santorini, where you may take an optional excursion to the excavation site at Akrotiri where recent Minoan excavations support the theories that Santorini might be the fabled continent of Atlantis. (B, L, D)
 

DAY 10 – PIRAEUS / ATHENS: Disembark after breakfast and transfer to the hotel in Athens. Spend the day at leisure or explore this fascinating city on your own. You might go to one of the famous shopping streets in Athens for some last minute shopping. Whether it is for inexpensive souvenirs or something more expensive, you can find it here. (B)

DAY 11 – ATHENS: Begin the morning with the Athens city tour. Visits include the Acropolis and its museum, Greek Orthodox Cathedral, Temple of Olympian Zeus and much more. Return to your hotel in the early afternoon. You might visit the Greek Archeological Museum. It is one of the best in the world. B)
