DAY 1 –  Depart on our flight to Madrid

DAY 2 – MADRID: Arrival and transfer to your hotel. Free day to get acquainted with this vibrant city or
perhaps to visit some museums such as the Prado or the Thyssen Bornemisza Collection. In the evening,
enjoy an escorted panoramic tour of Illuminated Madrid, ending at the atmospheric Plaza Mayor, where
you may choose to enjoy some of the delicious Tapas, served in the numerous “tavernas” in the area

DAY 3 – MADRID: Buffet breakfast. Morning panoramic city tour, including the Cibeles and Neptune fountains,
the magnificent Alcala Gate, the Puerta del Sol and Plaza Oriente, Retiro Park, the Gran Via as well as
modern Madrid.  Free afternoon. Highly recommended is an optional excursion to ancient Imperial Toledo, where you can admire the magnificent cathedral and the art of El Greco. Or choose to visit (on your own) the famed Royal Palace or the excellent Reina Sofia Contemporary Museum.

DAY 4 – MADRID / MERIDA / SEVILLE: Buffet breakfast. Departure, through the Extremadura region of the
famous cork trees, by way of Trujillo to the ancient Roman city of Merida. Free time for lunch on your own.
Afternoon visit to the spectacular Roman amphitheatre (still in use) before continuing to Seville.

DAY 5 – SEVILLE: Buffet breakfast. Morning city tour including the Tower of Gold, Maria Luisa Park, the
cathedral with its Giralda Tower (formerly a minaret), and the quaint Santa Cruz quarter. Afternoon free for
shopping or exploring this lovely Andalusian city, with orange tree-lined streets. This evening, don’t miss the
optional opportunity to attend an exciting Flamenco show, with a glass of local wine.Sevilla Torre del Oro

DAY 6 – SEVILLE / CORDOBA / GRANADA: Buffet breakfast. Departure to Cordoba for a tour of the fantastic
former Great Mosque, now a cathedral. Free time for lunch on your own and a little shopping. Continue
to Granada. Tonight perhaps take advantage of an optional opportunity to visit the atmospheric Albaicin
quarter, to enjoy its typical music and a little wine.

DAY 7 – GRANADA / MARBELLA: Buffet breakfast. Morning escorted tour of the fabulous Alhambra, once
palace of the Moorish rulers, in the Middle Ages, of this part of Spain. Also marvel at the extensive and lush
gardens of the Generalife. After the tour, departure to lovely Marbella on the famed Costa del Sol.

DAY 8 – MARBELLA: Buffet breakfast and free morning to enjoy this resort playground. Afternoon visit to
jet set Puerto Banus, to soak up some of the exciting atmosphere.

DAY 9 – MARBELLA / MADRID: Buffet breakfast. Buffet breakfast. Departure back northward, traversing
the Plains of La Mancha, and pausing in the noted wine town of Valdepeñas. Free time for lunch, on your
own. Continue via Aranjuez, famous for its Palace and Gardens (brief free time), then on to Madrid and
your hotel.

DAY 10 – MADRID: The return trip will be made through Setúbal and along the coast of the Arrábida
Mountain Range, the latter's unique vegetation making it both beautiful and mysterious, are at the gates of
Lisbon. Tour ends upon arrival in Lisbon.
